Deragger-PRO-brochure-iconThe DERAGGER PRO is pump station control simplified, delivering all the proven benefits of the DERAGGER+ / DERAGGER II, combined with a pump station controller.

Based on an intelligent modular concept, it provides a complete interface for the DERAGGER and other supported accessories required in pumping operations.

The sophisticated technology of the DEARGGER PRO reduces operational costs by ensuring the most energy-efficient pumps are used. Additionally, by spreading intelligence between multiple devices, it creates redundancy should one part of the system fail.

The DERAGGER PRO controls up to 16 pumps or motors in up to 16 different groups/wells, via DERAGGER+ / DERAGGER IIs, with all combinations of Duty/Assist/Standby required. It also accommodates 1 level instrument per group and individual pump, or group flows.

The assurance of telemetry communication comes via a dedicated Modbus RTU network. Ethernet comms (TCP/IP) is also supported.

The DERAGGER PRO’s high-resolution colour touchscreen utilizing gesture control gives quick access to such features Derived Flow Metering (where level monitoring is used), Full Alarm Logging and Pump Station Trends.

Easy Configuration

You don’t need a software engineer to set up the DERAGGER PRO. The user-friendly yet comprehensive touchscreen gives quick access to menus enabling the complete configuration of all DERAGGERs and/or external peripherals.

Each pump has its own overview page, where its status and control capabilities are displayed. From here, configuration areas can be accessed for the pumps and all associated parameters. Start-stop levels can be set individually or per group for each pump and group.

For added security, different levels of access can be set for individual users as required.

Cost Benefits

The DERAGGER PRO enables substantial savings in a number of ways and is a cost-effective choice compared with a PLC.

Flow meters and level instruments can easily be added through the HMI, eliminating the need for expensive external programming software. Users simply set the parameters rather than program the unit. Additionally, the LCD screen simplifies control panels, dispensing with the requirement for selector switches, push buttons, fault lights, meters, accumulators and so on.

Through maintaining pumping operations in the event of failure in the system, and by providing real-time anti-ragging via installed DERAGGER+ / DERAGGER IIs, the DERAGGER PRO avoids expensive reactive callout charges.

INTERFACE

Operators can find the following, at a glance:

  • Level
  • Pump mode
  • Pump availability
  • Detailed fault information
  • Date/time of each fault occurring and clearing
  • Single or 3-phase supply, DC supply
  • Fault and event history (up to 50,000 records, or millions of records with SD card)
  • Accumulators (starts, hours, faults, etc)
  • Pump efficiency (requires energy monitoring, motor protection and flow enabled)
  • Status of all I/O
  • Status of a communications link

APPS & KEY FEATURES

The DERAGGER PRO comes as standard with a number of useful Apps and features such as:

  • Modular Control System: By spreading intelligence between multiple devices, the DERAGGER® PRO pump station controller ensures continued operation of pumping stations even if one part of the overall pumping system fails. If the ultrasonic fails, for example, a high level float switch will be triggered in the well to start a timed. Or if one pump fails, the DERAGGER® PRO will automatically switch pumps. Since the level setpoints are also stored in the DERAGGER®+, pump operation will start automatically in the event of a screen failure.
  • Wet Well Clean: This will allow the pump to pump the well down below its normal stop level, passing the rags gathered at the bottom of the well forward and FOG or other floating debris from the water surface.  This app can be configured to stop just prior to pump suction, should breaking prime be a concern. It can also be used to prevent ice layers forming.
  • Derived Flow: Our ‘Derived Flow’ app is able to use a number of data feeds to calculate derived flow of the pump and therefore the station with a good level of accuracy.
  • Energy Monitoring: The DERAGGER PRO stores one year’s worth of data in relation to daily energy consumption per pump, not just for the overall station which greatly aids understanding as to overall energy efficiency.
  • Pump performance monitoring: The following is protection is available: Overload, Phase Loss, Current Imbalance, Overcurrent, Undercurrent & Frequency out of range.
  • Run most efficient pump: The DERAGGER PRO can automatically select the most efficient pump within a station and make this the duty pump.
  • Logging of pump stats: Stores one year’s worth of data in relation to daily energy consumptions, power, current, flow and pump efficiency in terms of pumped volume to consumed energy ratio. Additionally stores alarms and pump trip events.
  • Auto-reset: System will auto-reset trip events in the DERAGGER®+ multiple times a day.
  • On board telemetry: Full 3 phase power monitoring built in. This can be logged via our Datalogger or presented to SCADA.
  • Dry run protection: Monitors the pump’s power, and on low torque will inhibit the pump. This provides dry run protection. If this happens regularly, the device can be set up to trip the pump.
  • Periodic Flush: In order to prevent build-up of debris in the bottom of the well, the DERAGGER can be set to regularly run all pumps in the group to flush pipe work.
  • Anti-Cling: To prevent the building up of fat rings at the start level, the DERAGGER PRO is able to alter these start levels automatically so the pump then starts and/or stops at varying heights.
  • Odour Control: Runs the pump through a clean, if it has not run for a while. This prevents stagnation and settling in the well.
